These rare samples were thrifted over 15 years ago as noticed by the pen marks that won't wash off the bottom anymore. This was lasted for Mike's shape and not with the typical JM-8 last as noted on the inside tag. Not sure there are any details different than release pair but the quality on the full grain leather around the collar and toe is most likely something a bit nicer than what hit retail. Still has original laces and insoles. Does show some wear to medial piping detail but otherwise no real flaws and are still bouncy and cushy under foot.
